The Edwards Metropolitan District hosted a free educational presentation featuring nationally recognized beaver expert Skip Lisle, founder of Beaver Deceivers International.

The presentation coincided with Skip Lisle's visit to Edwards to install a Beaver Deceiver at the Old Edwards Estates Pond. During the event, he discussed the important role beavers play in creating healthy ecosystems and explained how innovative, non-lethal management solutions can help communities and wildlife coexist.

Drawing on decades of experience as a wildlife biologist and inventor, Skip shared insights from his work at hundreds of sites across North America and internationally. His presentation highlighted successful strategies for reducing flooding, protecting infrastructure, and preserving the many environmental benefits that beavers provide.

Community members had the opportunity to learn about beaver ecology, wetland conservation, and the Beaver Deceiver project at the Old Edwards Estates Pond. The event also included a question-and-answer session, allowing attendees to engage directly with one of the leading experts in the field.
